Victorian toleware folding Travellers Sandwich Box

This is one of those bizarre things that I just fell in love with because I'd never seen anything like it before!
Dating from c.1880, this painted metal tin is beautifully handpainted and features a rather fancy patent label on the front. Once the lid is removed, the sides all fold into itself and the lid fits back on, perfect for the travelling Victorian gent to store away once lunch was done.
I doubt that any cheese & pickle would be stored in there now but it's a super collectable for decoration and a charming conversation piece.
