Pair of antique French side chairs

A stunning pair of antique French side chairs in the Louis XVI style with straight reeded legs, wide seat fronts and square backs. This more restrained style is elegant and sits well in both contemporary and traditional interiors. The frames are heavy, beautifully decorated with carved patera on every corner and very stable and solid - the old paint is worn and weathered which creates a softer look. The chairs are in excellent condition - the seats are well sprung and very comfortable; they been stripped back to the original calico ready for re-covering.
