I adore these antique ceramic broody eggs which were used to stimulate hens to lay - they're so tactile and decorative; they're also highly collectable and old ones like these are getting harder to find. They have impressed makers marks on which are now quite indistinct. We've left them in untouched condition - they would scrub up if desired.
