Antique John Hill & Son cake display cabinet

An utterly gorgeous antique cake display cabinet c.1900.

Later painted white, this cabinet retains it's original etched signage on the side for John Hill & Son, Tudno Cake Factory, Ashton Under Lyne - a company that was established in the middle of C19th and still operates as Hills Biscuits. With two opening doors at the back and the original glass shelves which sit on brass supports (one is a later replacement), it has glass front, sides and back making it a striking and useful display piece. 

There is a slight mark on the glass on one of the back doors.
